2021 Ten Minutes by Tractor Estate Chardonnay
Tasting Notes

Pairs well with

Origin: Mornington Peninsula, Australia
Type: Light-bodied white
Grape(s): Chardonnay
ABV: 13%
Finger lime, ginger, and nettle leaf set the tone on a nose that’s fresh, zesty, and alive. The palate brings texture in spades - bright and driving, with layers that unfold as it moves. Almond meal and lemon curd add depth and roundness, giving the wine a lovely balance between sharp citrus and savoury nuance. There’s a real sense of energy here, but it’s controlled - vibrant without being wild. Drinking beautifully now, but with enough structure to carry it comfortably through to 2030.
Ten Minutes by Tractor is a world-renown winery on the Mornington Peninsula. It is the convergence of wine journeys that began almost 40 years ago with a group of friends and vineyards that fortuitously came together over time to create the winery that exists today.
The winery started in 1997 with three family-owned vineyards in Main Ridge, all ten minutes apart by tractor. The Spedding family purchased the brand in 2004 after years of searching for the perfect vineyard site. Their goal has always been clear - “Put simply – grow the best fruit we can, make wines that express the character of their origin and continue to put them in front of people who appreciate the difference.” Since then they have added new vineyards, but all have their own unique character with different aspects, slopes, soils, altitude and winds which flow through the valleys up from Bass Strait.
Martin and Karen’s energy, drive and vision have transformed Ten Minutes by Tractor into one of the leading cool climate wineries in Australia and one of the most popular winery destinations on the Mornington Peninsula.
