Finger lime, lemongrass, juicy pear and guava on the nose - zesty, vibrant, and super lifted. Bone dry on the palate, but packed with flavour: red apple, mandarin peel, and that same tropical guava note weaving through. There’s a touch of coastal salinity that keeps everything crisp and mouthwatering. Named one of the Top 5 Pet Nats in Australia by the Drink Easy Awards, and Top 20 by Young Gun of Wine. A standout in the category, no question.

Chalari started in 2017 in a shed (like most legendary brands) in the Perth Hills from the hands of Alexi Christidis and two tonnes of premium Frankland River riesling.

Originally from the tech world, Alexi had a strong pull to winemaking and in 2017 received his Bachelor of Wine Sciences from the venerable Charles Sturt University. The following year he traveled around France to learn about various winemaking techniques and styles, and to do harvest in Champagne.

Chalari, Greek for ‘relaxed’, is indicative of Alexi’s approach to life and his winemaking style. Sourcing the best quality fruit from around Western Australia, Charlari produces a number of traditional and lo-fi wines. In 2020 and 202, Alexi was a finalist for Top Winemaker for Young Gun of Wine Awards.
