Origin: Margaret River, Australia
Type: Light-bodied red
Grape(s): Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Shiraz
ABV: 12.6%

Bright red berries take centre stage - think wild strawberry, raspberry, and tart pomegranate - bursting with freshness and energy. There’s a playful twist of raspberry liquorice on the nose and palate, adding a sweet-savoury contrast that keeps things interesting. The acidity is juicy and vibrant, giving the wine a mouthwatering lift, while the tannins are subtle but present - fine and gently textured, just enough to frame the fruit without weighing it down.

LS Merchant "was born out of experiment, boredom and a want for more from Margaret River" - Chief Winemaker Dylan Ardvidson

Dylan moved to Western Australia in 2009 and was Assistant Winemaker under legendary winemaker Mark Messenger from Juniper Estate for six years. In 2015, he became head winemaker at Cape Grace Wines, the same year he ‘accidentally’ started LS Merchants. LS was only meant to be for friends - moonlighting as a DJ, Dylan wanted to make easy-going wines for his gigs which he lovingly calls ‘dooff dooff parties’, a.k.a raves. Encouraged by a growing following across Australia, he went full time in 2020.

LS Merchants is now run by Dylan and his wife Taryn. Their goal is to challenges traditional winemaking to produce unique and stimulating wines from both well and lesser known varieties. They believe good wine comes from great fruit and therefore are committed to sustainable farming in their own vineyard and sourcing high-quality fruit from likeminded growers who share their passion for the environment and the varieties they cultivate.
